Lunch at School
Friday we did lunch with Cole and today with Conner. I am so thankful we have a school system which encourages this. It is a treat for all of us.

It has been a while
There has been a lot going on with us but just wanted my followers to know I will try to do better.
It has really been a hot summer and if things keep going this way it may be the hottest on record.
I am praying for a tropical storm with a lot of rain, cooler temperatures, and not much wind.

Back Again
I have been pretty busy lately and so I got out of the habit of the personal blog. Just trying to get the habit back.
Yesterday, Bart called and told me the RA Racer derby was tonight at their church. These are the little cars made out of wood and which have no engine, just coast down a track.
His next question was as to if he could use my shop after Conner's basketball game which was fine with me and then he asked if I was going to be home. I knew what that meant and so we spent the afternoon bonding over sanding dust and paint fumes.
Well this evening is the big night and Cheryl and I are going to go to see how the racers do. I am sure there is some science to this but I have just never tried to figure it out. I am going to have to see if I can get me a few of those little kits so I can practice building these cars and hone my skills as a consulting Grandpa.
I will have to report the results later.

End of the Decade
Hard to believe that tonight ends the decade of the zeros.
Ten years ago I didn't have a Blackberry, an Ipod, a Facebook account, a Blog...what a difference the decade has made.
Please be sure to celebrate responsibly and don't drink and drive.
May God bless you in the decade of the tens.

Still Kicking
It has been a while since I updated this blog but I am still kicking.
I have been busy this Fall and so not much blog time, just work time.
Yesterday I spent the day decorating the yard for Christmas and it is a full day's work. I have a lot of lights and a choreographed sound and light show.

No I Haven't Fallen in a Hole
Work gets really consuming this time of the year and I don't have much personal time for anything including my blog.
We are having a home cooked meal tonight including a new dish i am trying out where I took some boneless pork ribs and grilled them with salt and pepper and then came in and am simmering for now over two and a half hours in a roux I made from pineapple juice, a whole tomato diced, a whole pear diced, a tablespoon of peanut butter, and a dash of crushed red pepper.
Cheryl has Fordhooks, creamed corn, scalloped potatoes, pork and rice, stewed squash...mmmmmmmmm is supper ever going to be good.
I love creating new dishes, especially if they have either peanuts or hot pepper in them. My meat tonight has both.
