Supper at Home

Tonight I made supper at home instead of us going out. Frankly, gas prices make you just not want to go anywhere. I am not bragging but it was a darn good meal.

I grilled shrimp and grouper, had broasted potatoes, made a hot corn, black bean, and tomato salsa to serve on top of the fish. We also had a vegetable medely of cauliflower, broccoli, and baby carrots.

I used creole seasoning on the shrimp and salt and lemon pepper on the grouper. It is sad but the only fish you can find at Wal-Mart is all from China and the fresh fish is actually thawed fish. But, the filets were a nice size and tasted really good.

I used a mixture of liquid margarine, mustard, and vinegar off of some pickled okra to brush on the seafood while it grilled.

It was hot but we ate outside on the patio and it was very nice.

Just in case you wondered it seems that a Blog is just a nice way of saying a Journal. It is sort of like writing "Dear Diary" and then letting everyone read it. If you can get all your feelings out in the open it could lead to the extinction of shrinks and bartenders.

Keeping Jason

We kept Jason yesterday evening for Erika and again this morning. I was pleased last night that she asked us to keep him, he is so sweet. She went to the movie with friends which she needs and deserves. This morning she was working on a project at the bank. Being the son of a banker I know all about bankers hours.

He has this little fake cry and when you laugh at him he just starts laughing and is so funny. He has a wierd sense of humor and I love it. He and Cole and I will be pranksters when we can team up.

Now he is headed to the lake. I wish I could go.
