Inez was to have laryngoplasty today to fix a paralyzed vocal cord but her pace maker has a battery that is nearing life's end and they decided in pre-op that she needed the pacemaker battery replaced before they do the surgery on the voice box.
She had prayed that if she was not to have the surgery she wouldn't. I guess today was not the day.
She will go back to Tifton and get the pacemaker replaced and then back to Emory for the voice surgery.
I was pleased that the folks here confirmed Dr. Johns is the best in his field. They really spent a lot of time discussing the situation and I am glad that there is another day to do this.
